Hi.
I was asked the other week by a member of the family if I could help out with there kitchen? They asked if I could fit a new ceiling and re-plaster all the walls as well, THIS WE DID. They where having the kitchen designed & fitted by one of there friends, who claims to be a kitchen fitter, and he was doing them a great deal as well.

After the kitchen was fitted my Daughter was asked to tile the kitchen walls and floor [she is a dam good tiler, but doesn't do it for a living] While I was at a loose end I went with Laura [my Daughter] to give her a hand and to finish in one day.

Well she was on holiday from her job as a Teachers assistant with Autistic Children - Can been hard work and deserves a break.

When we arrive at the house to fit the tiles, looked around at the fitting of the kitchen units/cabinets and Laura & I both looked at each other. We could not believe our eyes - what a bad job - and this was by a Kitchen Fitter, so he claims. We could stick our fingers down the gaps between the worktops /countertops and the walls. the tiles would have fell down behind the units. Therefore we had to fit a tile seal trim onto the worktops to cover the large gap. This I hate doing, it just does look professional. It did look good when we were finished.

After tiling the floor we had to re-scribe the plinths/toe kick boards and fit them back into place. You would think that this would be simple little job, as the kitchen fitter would have fitted all the brackets properly. Well we were wrong. But spending a few more hours than we anticipated everything was put right and the family members were delighted with the finishing touches.

So please please please, be aware who you are employing to do your jobs around the home. Go and see some of there work first - don't take there word for there workmanship.

THERE ARE ALOT OF POOR QUALITY JOBS BEING 'SORT OF' COMPLETED!!!!!!!!
